CANCELLED     PATIO STONES     CANCELLED   The Patio Brick project has been cancelled do to a lack of enough names and money to support the project. THANK-YOU to all who sent your names & money to us in advance. The Secretary/Treasurer will be sending your money back in a few weeks. We set a date of AUGUST 1, 2008 as a cut-off date for having all the names and money into the club Treasurer. We needed at least 70 names to make this project work and as of August 1st. we only had 45 names. I know a lot of us would like to leave something behind as a memorial to all of us Pinellas Park Friday Night Dance Club members, the Patio seemed like a good idea but it failed. Now it's time to forgive and forget and move on to whatever is next. Thank-You to all who worked with us on this project. If you did not receive one, or have any questions, please contact one of the officers. If you need more than one, please make copies of the one you received. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!   The City of Pinellas Park is building a new park near the Auditorium where we danced as Teens. They have asked us if we (as a club) would like to help by selling engraved patio bricks with the names of each club member on a brick.   The bricks we will use will be about 6" X 9" . The patio will have a sand base with the bricks laid in place all at one time, Maybe just a few months before the October Reunion in 2009. Of course just like any project, the sooner we get enough money the faster the project gets done.   You can purchase as many bricks as you wish, but please have just one name per brick.   The issue of having more than one name on a brick was brought up at the April meeting. It was decided then that we would only have one name per brick. The object of the bricks is to make enough money to pay for the patio adding two or more names to a bricks defetes the purpose of selling bricks.                                                                This is a list of people who have already said they would purchase a patio brick with their name or the name of a relative on it.
