| Our mission is to find as many of the OLD Pinellas Park Friday night dancers as we can and invite you all to a Reunion Dance every 3 years. It is all just for fun and to reunite old friends once again. |
Back about 1996, several friends got together just to have a little fun. During their get togethers they discovered they all had one thing in common, the Friday night dances in Pinellas Park. Someone brought up the idea of finding more dancers and getting together once more. Soon it was decided that they needed to try to put a Reunion Dance together and have a bunch of friends return to the City Auditorium  once more just to have a fun evening and renew old friendships. A committee was formed by some of the following people, Charlie "Oop" Kristich, Gail (Betts) Larson, Butch Ferguson, Patty (Pencoast) Mora, Mel "Doc" Dinsmore, Barbara Steward, and Will Harris. |

A date of October 1997 was set as the date for the Reunion Dance. We didn't expect a lot of people to show up, but to our surprise, over 200 "Friday Night Dancers" from our past were asking for tickets.  The dance was a great success that first year so we decided right then and there that we would do this every 3 years as long as we can get you all to come back. The second Reunion Dance was held OCTOBER 5, 2002, in the same City of Pinellas Park Auditorium we always used. We had over 400 people show up.  The last Dance was our the 50th. year of the Pinellas Park Dances, that was SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2006.
The next Reunion Dance will be October, 2009. Keep watching and listening for details. The Officers believe that this reunion is the best priced with the most fun of all reunions we all have ever attended. At most reunions you only know 8 or 10 people, here at the Park dance Reunion you know 50 or more old friends from when we were all teens. |
